New York City Biodiesel Tour Planned for October 2017

May 18, 2017

The National Biodiesel Foundation is once again planning a  one-day biodesel tour of New York City.  The Sustainable Biodiesel: Improving the Environment and Economy tour  will take place on October 19, 2017.  This is the Foundation’s second NYC tour. The tour is an educational opportunity and provides congressional staffers and others with current information on biodiesel and Bioheat®, where it comes from, and how it is used in an urban environment.  Possible tour locations include New York City Department of Sanitation and their emissions testing lab, local heating distributors offering Bioheat® and the offices of the Natural Resources Defencse Council, where they use Bioheat® to help meet their carbon reduction goals. Briefings are scheduled to be conducted by state and national experts, technology providers, fleet managers and sustainability officers. For more information, contact Tom Verry at tverry@biodiesel.org.
