DOE Clean Cities Infrastructure Project

NBF will work with partners to install or modify terminals and provide automated biodiesel blending to fleets and fuel distributors in seven regions of the country.

In September 2009, the DOE awarded the National Biodiesel Foundation grant for the 2009 NBF Biodiesel Infrastructure Project. The NBF believes that, over the course this project, 86 million gallons of petroleum based diesel can be displaced with biodiesel by installing seven terminals throughout the US. The goal of the project is to enable greater access to biodiesel within the petroleum supply chain.

Under this grant, the NBF will work with Amerigreen, GROWMART, Intercontinental Fuels, LLC, Premium Biodiesel and VERT Biodiesel to provide biodiesel terminals in:

  • Trenton, NJ
  • Philadelphia, PA
  • Petersburg, IL
  • Roxana, IL
  • Houston, TX
  • Lynchburg, VA
  • Los Angeles, CA
