What is the difference between diesel and biodiesel?

Biodiesel, unlike conventional diesel fuel, is produced not from petroleum, but from oils, which in turn are derived from plant or animal fats. The main oils used to produce biodiesel are sunflower oil, peanut oil, palm oil, linseed oil, cottonseed oil, soybean oil, coconut oil, castor oil and others.

Understanding the National Biodiesel Board

National Biodiesel Board (NBB) has emerged as a key player driving the advancement of sustainable fuels. A non-profitable trade association, the NBB is dedicated to promoting the use of biodiesel fuel made from renewable resources as a complement to petroleum diesel and other diesel products in transportation. In this post, we’ll unpack what the NBB is, its impact on the renewable energy industry, and the benefits it brings to our environment.
